EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
My main site is:
example.com.

My development site is in a subdomain:
dev.example.com.

I do a backup of dev.example.com. The backup file is NOT here:
dev.example.com/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup

Instead, the backup file appeared here:
example.com/administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup

Am I doing something wrong?

dlb
Well, it is not wrong really, but the scavenger hunt for your backups may be inconvenient. You can change that setting in Backup Configuration, in the Output Directory field, just put
[DEFAULT_OUTPUT]
And that will put the next backup archive and log where you were expecting it.

Hi

I put literally this: "[DEFAULT_OUTPUT]".

Yes, it works now.

Thank you.

dlb
The full path would have worked too, but [DEFAULT_OUTPUT] is shorter and easier and it will work if you move the site to another location.

You're welcome!
