EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I cannot open the Akeeba Backup Component, either core or professional. I've tried doing the "double-install without uninstall" trick, but that didn't help. I can't find the "system restore" plugin mentioned in one of the other tickets. Might there be help for a lowly fool such as I?

Peace and Thanks,
TheWholeNote

Just as an additional piece of information:

I use Amazon EC2 instances, and I can install without issue on a 3.7.0 version of my site, so I suspect that this is an issue with 3.7.1.

I can also spin up an instance for y'all to troubleshoot if need be.

Peace,

I tested with your same versions without a problem. I don't think it is 3.7.1.

Please clear your browser cache, close your browser and restart. That's a long shot for a 404 error, but it needs to be done after any Joomla! update.

So, the browser restart didn't work, but turning off system caching (which I assumed was front-end only) seems to have fixed it. The things we learn when SHTF.

S is educational. :-)

I'm glad it is working now.
