Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

We can use [HOST] [DATE] [TIME] as part of the backup names but it would complete the circle if it was prepended with [SITE] which used the site name from the global configuration.

Here's the code you would use

$config = JFactory::getConfig();
str_replace(' ', '', $config->get( 'sitename' ););

It would help me a lot, I assume it would help others. I guess you would need to do a check to remove spaces from the sitename.

Something like this?

[SITENAME]
The name of the site, lowercased and transformed into a format which guarantees compatibility with all filesystem types commonly found in modern Operating Systems. Please note that the site name will be trimmed at 50 characters if it's longer.

Something like that ha ha. Yes.

You know when you look for something and the product is made so well you find it hard to believe it does not exist. The reason I didn't spot it is because it is missing from the tooltip I think. Perhaps that could be updated?

And thank you, excellent support as always

dlb
Thank you for the suggestion, I will bring that to Nicholas' attention.

I'm sorry for the delay, Nicholas was traveling yesterday and we were going back and forth more slowly than normal (in other words, I didn't understand his answer). The tooltip is shared between Akeeba Backup for Joomla!, Akeeba Backup for Wordpress and Solo. The [SITENAME] macro only applies to Joomla!. So it is in the Joomla! specific documentation but is very difficult to get into the tooltip.
