Description of my issue:

I upgraded to the newest version of Akeeba backup 5.5.2 and there are many things that are no longer working in my site. I understand that this is likely caused by some bad programming on the side of Miwisoft's Mijoshop product. the problem is they do not have a fix ready and I can not go without my online store. Is there a way to uninstall akeeba backup (temporarily) to fix the issue? I have followed the steps that were outlined on this issue and they don't seem to work. Also I am happy to pay Akeeba support to correct the issue on my site if that is an option as well. I don't want to not have a backup but I have to prioritize.

Hello,

can you please give me some examples of things not working? As far as we know, the only issue is with the backend notification icon, that you can easily fix following these instructions.
Anyway, if you want to remove Akeeba Backup, you can simply export your backup profiles and then uninstall Akeeba Backup using Joomla installer. When things will be fixed, you can import back your profiles, so you won't have to re-configure everything again.

Thanks for the reply David.

I am getting the following when I access many things in the site such as edit a menu, or edit a product in mijo shop. Not being able to add menu items or edit menu items is a big problem for me.

Here are a couple of errors that come up.

the 500 is when i try to do anything with a menu and the other is when i try to do anything inside of mijo shop.

well, i found out that this was not caused by the issue between akeeba and mijo-shop. It was caused by a missing library during the upgrade to php7 which was performed close to the same time. I was missing the php7-gd library and installing that solved the issues I was having. sorry if others were having a similar issue and waiting for a magical reply, but this was due to nothing but me.
