Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Getting 'AJAX Loading Error/Internal Server Error' all of a sudden. The only change to the site has been the upgrade to Joomla 3.8.1. Prior backups worked fine up until today.

I've got it down from several errors to a timeout while backing up. I've updated the execution times as suggested in the Alice Troubleshooter, but still get the error. While there is a warning on post-processing, since we own our servers, we just backup straight to the server. Once backed up, the site backup is moved to our SAN for storage.

Attached is the latest backup log as well.

Thank you

dlb
In each case the timeout occurs while backing up the file webroot.zip in the root of your site. I can't see the size and there is no large file warning but you might want to check it to see if it would cause a problem. If you know the file is not necessary, you can delete it.
