i missing the backup plugin to do backups before joomla upgrades, it isnt just deactivated, it isnt here. would re-installation from akeeba backup would solve this prob, or do i did miss something change in akeeba backup behaviour? on this install i did a new install from akeeba, on all other installs i found the plugin, but not here. thanks for info

Installing Akeeba Backup twice, back to back, without doing anything else in between, may solve the problem. This is caused by a bug in the Joomla! installer that causes it to fail to install some files during an installation or upgrade. The install twice trick usually works around it. The plugin does still exist and should be installed in the current version.

Thanks, it didnt worked whatsoever i tried (installing over again, un- & reinstalling, extracting plugin and only installing plugin, installing by uploading or from /tmp) - so i went back to 6.0.0 and here it worked, and upgraded again to 6.0.1, problem solved.

Another thing - there seems to be a small bug with the new german language files, if i use the new ones (which have angie added), the bottom "BoU active"-panel uses too much space (4 or 5 lines), s.a. screenshot. Its not in english and not with the old german language files, just for your information.

thanks,
best regards,
Johannes

Johannes,

Can you please try to download the language file again? There was a problem that was fixed yesterday with languages in general, it came to our attention from a French user.

Here's what I found out:
  • The language files are generated every night at midnight
  • There is a cleanup script that runs every two hours that corrects certain common formatting problems in the source files
If the language file is uploaded by the translator between 22:00 and 24:00 the common errors won't be corrected until the following day at midnight. So the error may be corrected tomorrow.

If the problem with the file is not one that can be corrected with the cleanup script, then you have to find the translator through Weblate and email him to take a look at some strings. We can't correct the language files for languages we don't speak.
