EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Hi This is more of a feature questions. I have been using akeeba for a few years now. I have configured to backup every day and post-process it to an FTP server. i have also setup to delete old backups after 30 days. When i look into manage backups it appears to be deleting old backups. however, on the ftp the backup file is still available. This means i have several 100 GB of backups. Is this how its meant to work, why are the old backups not being deleted from the ftp location ??

thanks,

Akeeba Staff
Hello,

please take a look at the Quota management section inside Akeeba Backup configuration page.
There's an option named Enable remote files quotas: check it and Akeeba Backup will delete remote files as well.
