Description of my issue:
Akeeba is uploading backup files in 20MB chunks to S3.

There used to be a tick box to stop this, but I can't find it in the latest version.

I want a single file uploaded, not split files.

How can I turn this off??

Thanks,

Mark

Mark,

There are two separate things that frequently get confused. In Configuration, on the Archiver Engine line, click the Configuration button, you can set the part size to 2Gb (2000). Don't set it to zero, you don't want the part size to be more than 2Gb. This setting splits the archive into separate parts. These parts do not get reassembled.

The second setting is in the S3 setup, the Chunk Size. You DO want the chunk size to be set. This spits your archive, uploads the splits as separate "jobs" then reassembles them on the S3 side. The result is a single archive (depending on part size above) on S3.

If you turn off part size and chunk size, you'll most likely get a timeout while uploading.

I've set these as the settings and it has uploaded a single file:

Part size for split archives = 2000MB
Chunk size for large files processing = 10MB (note I can't set this to Custom)
Big file threshold = 10MB (note I can't set this to Custom)

You can close this ticket after making a note that the Custom settings don't work.

If the custom setting selected matches one of the preset options then the preset option becomes automatically selected when you reload the Configuration page. That's because, in fact, these settings are a hidden text box. We create the interface using JavaScript. The JavaScript checks if the value is one of the preset points we have defined and pre-selects it in the drop-down.
