Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

We have recently upgraded to the new version of Akeeba Backup (6.1.1) We are having a similar issue to an old ticket that was started some years ago (#11876 – Back-up sticks at 25% on database table). When performing any type of backup, progress stops at 25% (at database table: jdev3_ak_storage), and will then continue to progress to 2s and then repeat. Our log files are completely empty as well so that offers no solution. I have tried all of the suggestions that you made in the previously mentioned case, and we have made no more progress with the situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The table shown is the last table where the backup has finished (unless it tells you that it's backing up something like 123 / 456 which means "I have backed up 123 entries of the approximately 456 on the table"). The log file tells us more about what is really going on. The default setting is to not keep a detailed backup profile. We have to change that first.

Go to Components, Akeeba Backup. Make sure you have selected the backup profile you will be using to take a backup.

Click on Configure. On that page set Log Level to "All Information and Debug". Click on Save & Close.

Take a new backup. You should now have a log file. Please ZIP and attach it here.

Thank you for the response. It looks like the issue was related to an unaffiliated issue with our off-site storage. Problem solved. Thanks so much for the reply!
