EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Trying to restore my site from a backup and when I run the restore script, I get multiple levels (lots) of the install directory (/Installation/installation/installation/installation/installation/index.php) and the scripts won't complete. How can I fix this?

Try deleting the .htaccess file from your site's root, after the extraction of the backup archive is complete but before you click on Run the Installer.

If that doesn't help, quit your browser (if you're on macOS please use CMD-Q to fully quit it) and then try using your browser in private browsing mode to restore your site.
