Looking at new client site the first thing I went to do, as usual - run Akeeba!
Broken... (Missing Joomla stuff) Further investigation found it was over 2 years old v5.

No problem just install pkg_akeeba-6.3.0-core.zip
Ok, works fine except that it prompts me to enter download ID.
It also refuses to allow me to update to 6.3.3 without it.
Somehow installing core over pro has got confused!

No big deal as can just uninstall and install from scratch, so backups worth keeping!
Thought I would let you know there is a dormant issue somewhere!

My guess would be that the problem is caused by the number of updates between the two versions. Something in there isn't working the way it should. You have exactly the right procedure. I'll flag this for Nicholas and Davide to see if they know what the problem might be.

You can export the settings in your old version and import them after your uninstall/reinstall.

Nicholas tells me that you can upgrade to the current Pro version and then downgrade to Core, but it won't work to upgrade and switch to Core for those versions.

If you do it manually, please make sure the Pro upgrade site is deleted under Upgrade Sites.
