#29509 – Transfer archive does not upload all files

Similarly -- Backup completed but for did not upload to Dropbox (couldn't create directory!).

Manage Backups / Transfer Files -- only transferred the JPA file not the other 8 files.

The subsequent backup worked and uploaded to Dropbox successfully.

So not a particular problem except that the function "Manage Backups / Transfer Files " doesnt appear to work as expected.

The code that runs when taking a backup and when using the Transfer Files feature is actually the same. I don't mean similar. I mean the exact same code from the exact same files. The problem you have seems to be related to the remote storage, not the code that tries to transfer it. The fact that the next backup worked tells me that it was a temporary issue. Perhaps you were over the Dropbox quota?

Thanks, it’s a puzzle. After a successful backup and transfer - I went back to the one that didn’t and it was exactly the same. click on "Transfer Archive" tells me that it’s going to upload 1 of 9 and after 1 stops.

I think I wasn't very clear. Sorry. Since there was a temporary issue when transferring that particular backup you have ended up in a situation where non-sequentially numbered archive parts are left behind on your server. This means that the Transfer Archives from Manage Backups will always fail. The reason is that after transferring the first part it will try to transfer the second part. If the file for the second part does not exist the upload is considered failed and it stops dead on its tracks.

The only thing you can do about this particular backup is download the remaining parts through FTP / SFTP and then manually upload them to Dropbox, together with the other, already uploaded, part files.
