Description of my issue:
Hello,
I had several problems with the creation of a new website. For that I made several backups and was forced to fall back on them. For that I made a subdomain where I installed the backup and worked on that further. The backups I started from that subdomain now get stored in the old version at it's originally place - so not in the new website folder on the server but in the old one.
The backup manager displays the backups normally. Is there a way to change the folder path manually in the settings?
Thanks for help, Orti
PS In the configuration under the output directory I get this: "Note: This directory is outside your site's root. Its contents may be unreadable." So the system knows...

The path where the backup archives are stored is the one you set up in the Configuration page, under Output Directory. Reading your ticket you seem to be already aware of that. I am not sure what you are asking.

Maybe if you can change the path where existing backup archives are stored? That's not possible through any user-accessible interface. The only way would be editing the #__ak_stats table and manually edit the path there, then move the respective files from the old location to the new.

Hello,
thank you for reply.
As you mentioned I didn't had a look by installing the backup to set up the new storing path.
I will change the path in the configuration when I found out, how the absolute path looks like... That's what confused me a little bit because this part of server settings I dind't need yet.
Thanks for help!
Kind regards, Orti
