Hi, I'm trying to locate a single file within an akeeba JPA multi-part backup using the Windows eXtract wizard.

Does the eXtract wizard support multi-part JPA or JPS archives? Does it also extract the database?

Do I have to rename the j01 and j02 files to JPA to extract them?

LOL - it was your ticket that I replied to in your other ticket. Time for me to go to bed!

Your archive is a multi-part archive, Akeeba's extraction tools understand that. Only the jpa/jps parts are recognized by the extractors, but all parts will be extracted.

The database dump is located in /installation/sql. It may also be in multiple parts, just like your backup archive.

And now for the bad news. Akeeba eXtract has been discontinued. It is no longer a supported or maintained project. It could not consistently extract encrypted archives (jps). You should use Kickstart on a local LAMP/WAMP/XAMP, etc. stack to extract. That's the official answer.

For now, eXtract works fine for jpa archives. Don't tell anyone I told you that.
