Hi,

Please can you confirm that I must download and manually install Backup Pro v7 to upgrade from v6.6.1?

I ask because the availability of v7 is not being flagged when I select the Latest Release button on the right of the Backup screen in my control panel.

I use MyJoomla and it does not flag availability of the upgrade either.

I could not see anything obvious on the Akeeba website which states manual upgrade is required.

If manual upgrade then is it OK to simply use the Install Extension screen of Joomla?

Hi Ken,

The reason you can't see the 7.0.0.b1 is because you have it set to only show you stable releases. 7.x is technically a beta.

You can either change the stability setting in Options or do a manual install.

Thanks for the really quick response!

I came at this via a prompt from MyJoomla and did not see (like I do now!) the RECENT ANNOUNCEMENT on the Akeeba website home page.

Now that I have read this announcement I understand.
