With AkeebaBackup Pro I have an automated one-click backup ("ID = 3 Upload to My Google Drive"). This works very well manually and creates a backup directly on my Google Drive account. But I want to completely automate this. I have set up a cronjob with my provider. This starts the akeeba-backup.php file. I modified the akeeba-backup.php (the original is saved) by setting "$ profile = 3" ==> (ID = 3 Upload to My Google Drive). Unfortunately my "one-click backup" is not started / controlled via the akeeba-backup.php. The backup is only saved in AkeebaBackup on the website server, but not on my Google Drive account. How can I start my "Upload to my Google Drive" user profile directly from akeeba-backup.php?

Matthias,

I'm not quite sure I understand what you're doing to start the CRON job. Akeeba Backup expects the profile number to be passed as an argument to the command in the CRON job. You don't need to modify anything.

For an example of exactly what you need to set up your CRON command, make Profile #3 the current profile and go to Schedule Automatic Backups. The CRON documentation will give you the exact command you need to start the job.

Hey Dale,
full automate my Backup to Google Drive Account works. It was only the problem of a deactivate/activate botton for backup icon. It was not the fault for the profile ID!
I didn't see the forest for the trees. :-)
Sorry!
Thanks for your answer
Matthias
