Hello,

I have just purchased the pro version as I was using the free version for my website.

I have a number of backups which now say OBSOLETE, with the most recent one I am trying to backup too which I did on Friday 31 Jan 2020.

There were working fine before, and now I need too restore back to Friday asap!

Why are they saying obsolete and why can't I store back to Friday?

The Manage Backups screen does not show you what backups are in the Output Folder, is shows the database records in the appropriate table. The Obsolete status means that the backup archive is not where the database says it is - or that it was post processed to a medium that Akeeba Backup can't read.

Was this backup moved to off site storage after the backup and deleted from your site?

The default Output Folder is /administrator/components/com_akeeba/backups. Is the backup archive actually there? If so, you can import it into the Manage Backups screen with the Import Backups button in the upper left corner of the Manage Backups screen.

If you uninstalled Akeeba Backup Core before installing Akeeba Backup Pro, the uninstall may have deleted the backup archives. I don't think that happened because that would have cleared the Manage Backup screen as well.
