Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

My automatic backup failed last night. There is no log generated. The message from the email is:

% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current
                                 Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed

  0     0    0     0    0     0      0      0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:--     0* Could not resolve host: www.fairlight.org.uk; Unknown error
* Closing connection 0
curl: (6) Could not resolve host: www.fairlight.org.uk; Unknown error

Please can you offer any guidance? I have run the backup task manually this morning with no issue.

Thanks,

Bill

Perhaps this is a one off error. I have just set the CRON task to run every hour and this latest run has completed successfully.

I have now set the task back to running once per day!

I'll shout if the problem happens again.

Regards,

Bill
