Description of my issue:

I'm just looking for a good automated backup solution for Akeeba Pro, since my lazy backup scheduler stopped working - I don't have the ability to set a cron job.

I understand that the lazy backup scheduler is no longer functional with the latest Akeeba release. The automation in the latest Akeeba release doesn't seem to be working for our site.
So what is the recommendation for automation outside of cron?
Thanks in advance and I look forward to your responses.

Hi!

The Lazy Scheduling plugin was brought up-to-date with the latest changes in the backup engine and is already available for download. Please note that it is not supported and should you want to use, you do so at your own risk. There are known issues with it which can not be fixed.

Alternatively, you can use the low cost webcron.org service to schedule your backups. For more details, please consult our documentation on automating your backups. Instructions for using webcron.org can be found midway through the page, under the "Using webcron.org to automate your backups" header.
