Running Wordpress 4.3.1 with the Gantry 5 framework. (Gantry version 5.1.4)

The plugin appears to install, and I have a link in the WP Admin area to get to the Akeeba WP backup. However, it doesn't appear to load. I get a blank screen.

The httpd error logs show:

[Thu Sep 24 14:08:17 2015] [error] [client[redacted]] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare PasswordCompat\\binary\\_strlen() (previously declared in /[redacted]/wp-content/plugins/gantry5/src/vendor/ircmaxell/password-compat/lib/password.php:267) in /[redacted]/wp-content/plugins/akeebabackupwp-core/app/Awf/User/password.php on line 258, referer: http://[redacted]/wp-admin/plugins.php?plugin_status=all&paged=1&s

I found a thread on github that sort of talked about this, but the current WP version of akeeba doesn't seem to work for me.

Hello Don,

we are aware of that, we are going to release a new stable release very soon.
In the meanwhile, if you can't wait, you can use the latest dev release, it should include the fix for that bug, so you can safely backup your site.
