Hello, I have a fairly complex site that I'm developing at a temporary dev domain. When approved, I will run Akeeba Backup, then create a new hosting account using the real domain. The dev site is NON- SSL but I plan on installing an SSL certificate on the destination domain. My questions are as follows.
1) Please confirm that I simply need to modify the REPLACEMENT URL by ADDING an S after http when I'm at the replace/Re-name step in the restoration process?
2) Should I install the SSL BEFORE I migrate the dev site over to the live real domain or AFTER I have it working as https ?
Thank you. Long time Akeeba Backup customer,
Jim K

Hello,

yes, you should only have to update the protocol in the replace step.
I'd suggest you to install SSL before the transfer and then restore the archive on it. In this way ANGIE will recognise the new protocol and automatically suggest it to you.
