Trying to update the plugin through the integrated update process stalled on the extraction step, requiring the FTP method of updating.

When one has a dozen or two dozen sites using Akeeba Backup for WP, uploading a new version through FTP takes considerable time, even with a client like Transmit and a reasonably fast connection.

Is there a way to provide only the updated files for an update in a zipped file to accommodate a faster process when FTP is required?

Hello,

We worked very hard to fix all the update issues and add new features; for example we integrated Akeeba Backup inside WordPress update system.

Sadly when the update is not working, the only way is to manually update the plugin :(
We really hope from this version onward you can safely update without the need to use FTP.
