I manage about 20 sites, but have two that cannot upload the backup archive to dreamobjects. The backup works fine until it gets to the post-processing where it gives me a "403 :: Unexpected HTTP status 403" error. I have 18 other sites working with the exact same Akeeba settings and have tried almost everything to get these two to work. Somethings that I know are not causing the issue is... my dreamobject settings. I have changed these a million times to no avail. I have also reduced my split archive size to prevent timeouts. I have it much higher on other sites. Also, all the sites are running on the same server. I have also removed and reinstalled akeeba on the two problem sites too. All for nothing. Please help.

The 403 error means that the login credentials you have provided are incorrect. Since the credentials are provided per backup profile please make sure that you have selected the correct backup profile and go to Akeeba Backup's Configuration page. Remove the DreamObjects credentials, save, go back to Configuration and enter the ones which you have tested are working. Then retry taking a backup.

I've done that several times and it still isn't working. I even exported the profile from another site that is working and imported it to the other site that isn't working to ensure the credentials are correct and it still doesn't work. Any other ideas?

First let's make sure it's not something simple. Download the latest version of our software, extract the ZIP file locally and upload the extracted akeebabackupwp folder into your site's wp-contents/plugins, overwriting existing files. This will make sure we're not having some code file which hasn't been updated causing the problem.

If despite doing that and using an imported known good profile we can discount the possibility that it's something with Akeeba Backup. You'll have to ask your host to take a look. Most likely they are using a cache or proxy in front of your site's outbound requests. They need to disable it for DreamHost's API endpoint (objects-us-east-1.dream.io per their documentation).
