Hi - i have just purchased Akeeba Solo (to back up a drupal site)
during the configuration i establish the akeeba database and then the site database then i enter my username and password
then i click next and the site asks me to login which i cont seem to be able to do - it is asking for a username password and secret code - what is the secret code? i have not configured TFA?

can you help please

The Secret Code field is for TFA but it displays even if TFA has not been enabled. Just skip it and you should be able to log in.

sorry - i tried this - but it didnt work
what should i try next?

Well, we're in uncharted territory. I know how to turn off TFA in Joomla! but the best I can do in Solo is guess. The programmers are fast asleep.

There are some likely looking files in /solo/Solo/Application. Let's rename - not delete - UserAuthenticationGoogle.php, then UserAuthenticationOtep.php. The Yubikey one would be for a Yubikey hardware key, I'm guessing it was Google that got turned on.

Our only other choices are to delete the Solo folder and drop the Solo tables or wait until morning when I have expert help.

Thanks for trying
i tried renaming the folders and then the login screen would not load
i tried dropping the folder and the tables and doing a fresh install - but just had the same issue

;-(
might need to wait until your morning

;-)

I'm sorry, for this one we need to rename or move just those two files. There's one there that looks vital. The Google one I'm sure is Google TFA, the Yubikey is Yubikey TFA. I don't have a guess on UserAuthenticationOtep.php.
