I'd like to to make a full backup every once in awhile, while making an incremental backup inbetween. Is that possible with akeeba? If so, let me know how. Thanks!

Here's the issue: I have an incremental (files) backup scheduled, but it only makes incremental backups. When will it make a full backup?

Hello,

you have to create a new different profile and configure its type as "Full Backup".
In this way you can trigger a full backup manually from the backend or setup a different CRON job to run once a week (or any interval you wish).

Will I be able to recover using the two separate backup profiles?

What do you mean by "recover"? You mean "restore"?
Please remember that the full backup is a snapshot of your site, so there will be no problems.
Regarding the incremental backup, it's just a compressed archive containing the changed files.
