Hi Nicholas,

We are planning to use ATS in combination via Akeeba Subscriptions to provide support for our webprojects. The only important missing part in ATS now is that each of our tickets can have a different amount of credits to be deducted.

A simple support question can be fixed with 1 credit, but a more complex question can take e.g. 4 credits. Will there be a possibility for the support staf to enter the amount of credits to deduct on each reply?

This is something I'm considering for a future release. It's a bit more complicated than it sounds due to the priority charging of credits. If there is one credit record with 2 credits left and another one with 3 credits left you currently can't charge 5 credits; that would require two credit charges for the same item (e.g. ticket) which is not possible right now. The feature you are requesting actually requires this kind of charge to be possible which requires a refactoring of the credit consumption code. And that's why it's being considered for a future release. I can't say with 100% certainty if that will be possible in a way that makes sense.

Ok, thanks for your answer. We will continue with our current ticket system for now and follow the release messages to consider switching to ATS in the future.

You're welcome and thank you for the feedback. I've been wondering if it made sense to have variable credit charges. I guess that question of mine is now answered :)

Support Information

Working hours: We are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm Cyprus timezone (EET / EEST). Support is provided by the same developers writing the software, all of which live in Europe. You can still file tickets outside of our working hours, but we cannot respond to them until we're back at the office.
