Is there a way to set the initial ticket number to a number bigger than #1? Say10001?
Thanks, Mike

The ticket numbering is actually done by the database, not the software. Therefore there is a way but it involves editing the database. This can be dangerous if you're not careful. Take a backup of your site before doing any of this!

The following instructions assume that your database tables prefix is xyz_. On your site it will most definitely be something else. If unsure go to your site's Global Configuration page, click on the Server tab and look at the right hand side for the Database Tables Prefix row. This is what you should use instead of xyz_.

First create a ticket yourself in any category. Note down the number of the ticket, e.g. 123.

Now go to phpMyAdmin or any database editor and find the table xyz_ats_tickets. Find the record entry whose ats_ticket_id value is what you recorded above (eg. 123) and change it to your new value, e.g. 10000.

Find the table xyz_ats_posts. Find the record entry whose ats_ticket_id value is what you recorded earlier (eg. 123) and change it to your new value, e.g. 10000. It MUST match the value you entered in the xyz_ats_tickets entry above.

After doing that the next created ticket will have an ID of 10001.

That's great, works fine and haven't crashed anything yet :)
Thank you.
