Hi

We were wondering if we could have the 'Create New Ticket' menu item that anyone can see, but if clicked re-directs to a login form. Once a user logs in then it re-directs them to the creating a new ticket page.

Thanks

First create a new menu item New Ticket of the type Akeeba Ticket System - New Ticket with access Registered.

Log in to the front-end of your site and click on the New Ticket menu item. Copy the URL.

Create one more new menu item with the same title (New Ticket) of the type Users – Login Form. Click the Options tab and set the Login Redirect to the URL you copied above. Set the menu item's access to Guest.

Why does that work?

Guest (not logged in) users see the second menu item only. Clicking it shows them the login page. After logging in they are redirected to the first menu item which lets them choose a category and file a new ticket.

Registered (logged in) users only see the first menu item. Clicking it shows them the New Ticket page of Akeeba Ticket System which lets them choose a category and file a new ticket.
