Description of my issue:

I am trying to set up unite for a demo site however it does not mention in the documentation how to name the xml file. I'm a bit confused how the cron job calls the relevant XML file to start the job. Presumably you can have more than one XML file for various restores ?

also does the Unite folder need to be writable by the web server ie within httpdocs?

Thanks
Paul

You can name the XML file whatever you want. The idea is, indeed, that you can have several XML files for multiple restorations. The XML files are processed in filesystem order. This usually means that the last created or modified XML file is processed first.

The UNiTE folder itself does not need to be writeable. Only the temporary and inbox directories need to be writeable. You do not have to –actually, must not– place the UNiTE directory inside httpdocs. Ideally, it should be placed one level above. Manipulate the ownership and permissions to make the tmp and inbox directories writeable.
