Hi Akeeba :)

When I try to extract a file I get a message (in German) kind of saying: "Path format not supported."

The problem arises when extract Wizard tries to unpack a PDF file.

Now, on the server the path to the file is this:
kinetik.dk/httpdocs/UPLOADS/2017_02_06/2017_02_06_21_41_30

But the name of the PDF file is this:
{filemask:_originalfilename}_1877877615.pdf

I am pretty sure, that eXtract Wizard cannot handle this strange PDF filename using the {filemask:_originalfilename} as part of the name.

Unfortunately - the Wizard just stops unpacking instead of just skipping this one file. Activating the "Ignore file write errors" makes no difference.

Basically I cannot unpack the archive because of this one file.

I really hope that you can help me :)

This has nothing to do with our software and everything to do with Windows, the operating system you are using on your computer. Both the curly braces and the colon in the name of the file are invalid characters for naming files on Windows. Please look at the official Microsoft support page on this issue.

I would recommend renaming that file on your server or excluding it from the backup.

Alternatively, use Kickstart on a local server with the "Ignore most errors" option enabled. This file will fail to extract in this case but the rest of the archive should extract.

If, however, you are trying to extract a JPS archive OR if that file is over roughly 1 MB then renaming or excluding the offending file is your only option as the "Ignore most errors" option would not work in these cases.
