Hi

When using UNiTE with large joomla JPA files the stdout gets swamped with output lines that say "Extractor tick" which makes the stdout massive. We dump stdout to a file, so the file just blows out in size.

So, my question is if there is any way to disable or reduce the frequency of the "Extractor tick" stdout output?

I know I can redirect it to null, and that sort of thing, but then I get no output at all.

It's not really a support question, more just a quick query on a feature.

Thanks
Andy :)

Hi

Just to add some specifics, just now I'm running UNiTE on a 1.3GB jpa file, it's not complete and it's already generated 4.9GB of stdout.

Hope that's useful.

I'll maybe generate the JPA file again, just to check it's not some JPA corruption issue.

Hello,

quick answer: no you can't. You can only disable it at all redirecting the output to /dev/null .
That being said, it's quite strange that the extraction process gets stuck in a loop.
Can you please try to extract such file using Kickstart manually? Does it complete?

Hi Davide

Thanks for the reply. I think the JPA file must have hit a problem when it was generated, or in transfer. I re generated the JPA and it worked fine after that. Guess, as you say, something caused it to get stuck in a loop.

The new UNiTE version is good, we've been using 2.0.0 for the last few years, but the new one is easier to use, in a way, not having the inbox directory. Thanks for making an awesome tool even better!

Happy to close this ticket, all good here :)

Thanks
