 Hi,
I just renewed my subscription for Akeeba Backup, and i want to do it also for Admin Tools. An invoice of Admin Tools total payable amount is €14.00, but when I go to the website to make the payment the price is €28.00.

Please can you check it?

Thank you,
Andrija

The base price for Admin Tools has changed from 20 Euros to 40 Euros back in April 2014. This was a necessary change to make Admin Tools financially viable and sustainable.

When Admin Tools began its life in September 2010 it was a collection of a handful of tiny utilities and a much simpler version of the .htaccess Maker. Its low price reflected its simplicity and the development and support effort required. In the meantime features were being added continuously and some of them (Joomla! update, two factor authentication) found their way into Joomla! itself. More features naturally meant more development time and, most importantly, more documentation and support effort. At 20 Euros a year we had a net loss.

At the same time the competitive products with slightly less features and same support and licensing policy sold at prices of 120 Euros a year. Even though we could aim for such a high price we chose to be honest and modify our price to reflect our real costs. At 40 Euros per year we make a small profit, enough for us to keep on developing the product without sacrificing our code, documentation or support quality.
