Our site uses AdminToolsPro and about a year ago, had a lot of trouble with the .htaccess, switching the admin login to a secret URL. Whatever happened, we totally lost our site, so our techies intentionally "broke" admin tools by deleting the directory containing its files. Our web site came back and worked fine.

In the interim, we've had several security issues which WOULD have been blunted by the WAF. So I downloaded the latest version one week ago and did a re-install. The first thing I noticed was that access to certain areas was blocked by the prior install Master password! It's as though it never went away from a year earlier.

How do we strip out ALL of the old install so as to allow a fresh install of AdminToolsPro?

Yes, of course. Go to Extensions, Manage, Manage in your Joomla administrator back-end, find the "Admin Tools package" entry, select it and click on Uninstall. This removes the component, its plugins and all of its database data – including your configuration. Then install Admin Tools again and you're starting with a clean slate.
