 Hello,
I am a long time customer and still have an admin membership but my Akeeba pro has lapsed. If I renew my Akeeba Pro will Akeeba Pro help me in changing the url of my Joomla site? If I backup the site and restore it on a new cpanel under the new domain will it change the config.php and the database changes that are needed as well? Thanks for your help.

You can use Akeeba Backup Core for that :) Please check out our video tutorials for backing up your site and restoring it on a new server.

Hello, I loaded akeeba core and backed up my site and went through the process of restoring on new cpanel account to change url. During restore I received database errors. I copied them and attached them here in a txt file. It seems that mos of them are ErrNo #1062.

ErrNo #1062
Duplicate entry '781126' for key 'PRIMARY'

It seems the errors are to do with the sobipro data. I have 250k records in 51 sections in sobipro. Hope you can help with this. Thank you.

In the database restoration page, where you are asked for the connection information, try checking the boxes "Suppress Foreign Key checks" and "Use REPLACE instead of INSERT". They should allow you to restore the database. Please let me know if that worked for you.

I did try that and the the restoration completed but the database did not come in so no menu links. I have renewed my pro membership as I have two databases. I have a dedicated server and had my host repaired the tables. I am running a backup now..will let you know how it goes. I have 250k records in sobipro so it takes some time....thanks

Can you please file a new ticket under the Site Restoration support category and give us more information about the issue you are experiencing? There's really no way that the database wasn't restored without having any error messages unless your host is doing something crazy with the database server. That is highly unlikely. I think you are misdiagnosing your issue.

What I am not sure what you mean is "no menu links". I can understand it in two ways. One is that the site does not display anything (blank page). That's typically a PHP issue and we have a way to deal with it. The other possibility is that your site's front page displays just fine but clicking on any link leads to a 404 Not Found error page. That's a problem with the .htaccess either needing some adjustments or having to talk to your host to enable support for it (or if you moved from an Apache or NginX server to an IIS server -or vice versa- having to build a different kind of server configuration file to let Joomla! handle SEF URLs).

The troubleshooting instructions for any of these potential issues is drastically different. So I need you to file a new ticket where you will be very specific and, if possible, give us the URL to your restored site so we can see for ourselves what you see. This will help us narrow down the issue to one or two of these possibilities and give you instructions to fix it.
