Hello,

i did this many times. I have always a copy on a second subdomain to check for new things (components, modules and plugins) without to harm the site and its works always great with akeeba to take a new copy of the site to the subdomain - until this weekend! I just wonder because after a total update on AkeebaBackup and Rockettheme Extensions like RokGallery or RokSprocket the new installation do not work, the permissions and Aria engine are fine, nothing has change expect the updates (I deinstalled all of this and reinstalled it without any sucess, except lot of work) – I tried to some of the Related results helps (actually all) and its still always fails with this:

Does this error occur when you first enter the database connection information, or during the database restore? If during the restore, how far in?

Make sure the skip foreign key check box is checked. You do not want to do a foreign key check.

its occur almost on the end of the database restore on the last kbit actually.

Hello Robert,

Please go to Akeeba Backup and make sure your backup profile is selected in the dropdown on the main page. Then click on Configuration. Find the "Database backup engine" row and click on the "Configure..." button at its far right. A new pane opens below. Please make check the following settings:
Dump PROCEDUREs, FUNCTIONs and TRIGGERs => Checked
No dependency tracking => NOT checked (this is important)
Skip index engine => Checked

Take a new backup and try restoring that one.

When restoring please make sure that the "Skip foreign keys" checkbox is checked. Please note that since RokGallery has circular dependencies between its tables you may have to try restoring your site twice. In this case, please make sure that the old tables setting during restoration is set to "Backup" instead of "Drop".

i just tryed it on your advice

Suppress foreign key checks was checked - backup insted of drop and twice done, allswell a new backup with your recomentations Dump PROCEDUREs, FUNCTIONs and TRIGGERs => Checked
No dependency tracking => NOT checked (this is important)
Skip index engine => Checked. I still recived:

Database server error reply:
ErrNo #0

I will try this weekend to unistall the rok gallery and try it again. I will post the result here.

Hm, I am not sure what's going on. Let me tell you exactly what I did as a test:

Create a new Joomla! 3.3.1 site
Installed RokGallery
Installed the latest dev release of Akeeba Backup
I used the Database Dump settings I wrote in my previous post
Took a backup
Restored it to an empty database

The restoration succeeded. The only difference between our tests is the version of Akeeba Backup. Can you please install the latest dev release and retry? The latest dev release is the first one, towards the top.
