When i want to restore my Akeeba backup on another environment (localhost or online) something goes wrong.
I get the installer (kickstart) and the files are extracted, but the the installer fails to start.

I looked and it seems that all the files a 0Kb

Do you have a solution

This happens on some hosts using an old PHP version with a buggy mbstring library. We have a workaround for that issue now. Please download and install the latest dev release and take a new backup. The new backup should be much bigger and restore just fine.
