When cloning site on another server using akeeba for wordpress and kickstart.
The file extract component seems to work fine. All files seem to be there.
But when I click on "Run the Installer" button I simply get a blank page - not prompted for Database parameters.

Tried to access installer directly with the:
http://domain_name.co.nz/installation/index.php URL
But just get a blank page.

Checked file permissions in the "installation" directory and these are set to 755.

Look forward to your assistance.

Thanks
Henk

Was this install done on a bare site or was there an existing site that you overwrote? Is there an .htaccess file in the root? If so, please rename it (don't delete it) and try to start the restore from the URL again.

This is not something that I've seen before with WordPress. The good news is that the installer code is a stand alone component of the backup that we can replace if it is damaged. Please don't get creative, the database backup is in that /installation folder too.
