Mandatory information about my setup:

Joomla! version: 1.7
PHP version: 5.3
MySQL version: 5.1
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: 3.3.13
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: 3.3.2

Description of my issue:

I've used kickstart a number of times - perfect each time, until the other night when I got the same error as on this ticket:

https://www.akeebabackup.com/component/ats/ticket/site-restoration/10808-kickstart-ajax-error-2.html#p63104

I used the local extract, FTP and restore method which worked fine but took a long time.

I've since restored another archive ok from another site - although it is smaller but that shouldn't make a difference.

I've checked with my hosters (same as yours) and they say it isn't the server, is there any more news on this issue?

I need to restore this archive on a dev domain as I'm trying to upgrade to 2.5, this is what broke the site initially, seemingly admin tools pro 2.2.a3 did the upgrade to 2.5. but I got a white screen with no body html section after the upgrtade, it was strange I've upgraded lots of sites using that method with no issues so I don;t know what happened that time? I want to test it again on a dev domain, typical that this is my last 1.7 site to be upgraded :-)

Thanks,

Dave

Sorry Nicholas, I've created this twice as I thought my first one wasn't saved, I went to my tickets and it said 'you have no tickets' I got frustrated and then I resubmitted and then saw I'd duplicated it. Please remove this duplicate - sorry.

Hello Dave,

I assume that you read my reply to the other ticket. It's a known bug. It's already solved in the latest dev release. In fact, it was solved almost two months ago. A new official release will be released soon.
