You need to enable mod_rewrite in your web server, as mentioned in the troubleshooter page you linked to, under "ENABLING APACHE'S MOD_REWRITE". Moreover, please double check that you actually have a .htaccess file in your site's root, your web server is Apache (IIS, Nginx, Lighttpd and other servers do not support .htaccess files) and that your host does allow you to use .htaccess files to override server settings. The latter three questions can only be answered by your host.

Thank you Nicholas,
MOD_REWRITE is active but it does not work within joomla.
Do you have any idea on how to fix it?

As I wrote in my previous reply. Let's get the checks one by one:
  1. Do you have a .htaccess file in your site's root? Note: it MUST be named .htaccess, with the dot in front; any other name such as htaccess.txt will not work. Also check its permissions, they should be at least 0444. Lower permissions (e.g. 0600) most likely won't work.
  2. Is your web server Apache? IIS, Nginx, Lighttpd and other servers do not support .htaccess files. If you're not sure, ask your host.
  3. Does your host does allow you to use .htaccess files to override server settings? If unsure ask your host.
