If you get a message that your database crashed, do not restore your site. Instead use your host's copy of phpMyAdmin to repair the table. If you are not sure how to do that, ask your host to do it for you. It's literally a 2 minute job for a tech support engineer. Please note that even if you want to restore a table from the backup, the first of the process is repairing the table or, if that fails, deleting the entire database and creating a new one.
