This means that a third party extension is throwing a PHP notice or warning. The error reporting on the server is set too high, causing the notice/warning to be output to your browser. This, in turn, causes PHP to be unable to create a session and throws this warning message.

The solution is to turn the error reporting off. Go to your site's back-end, Global Configuration, Server tab. Set "Error Reporting" to "None" and save the configuration. It should now work without a problem.
