Description of my issue:
Hi Nicholas,

This is a follow-up for my private ticket (#13782). I think I have found out the cause of the issue - my firewall. That's the reason why the FTP denies you..because I didn't whitelist your IP. Sorry about that, there were so many things going on that I simply forgot.

So now I have another question - I have googled around and found that the S3 API (or something) uses port 443. Does Akeeba's import from S3 feature use this port? Can you tell me any other port(s) to open, if applicable?

Thank you!

When importing from S3 –and depending on your settings– we are using either port 80 or 443. It goes without saying that if your host does not allow connecting to your Amazon S3 bucket over port 80 or 443 then Amazon S3 export and import will, of course, not work. These are the only ports you need.

IMPORTANT: These are NOT the ports you have to open on YOUR server. If your host does not allow your site to contact Amazon S3 it means that it has a firewall which prevents outbound connections, i.e. connections from your server to S3. In this case you have to ask your host to allow your site to connect to Amazon S3 over ports 80 and 443.
