Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? yes
Joomla! version: 2.5.8
PHP version: 5.3.16
MySQL version: 5.1.49-3-log
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: Akeeba Backup Professional 3.6.11 (2013-01-01)
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: Akeeba Kickstart Professional 3.6.0

Description of my issue:

I restored sucessfully an Akeeba backup, or almost successfully...

The internal link of the restored website didn't work. I found out that it was because a variable of the configuration.php file was not restored and proposed to be reset during kickstart process : it is the $live_site variable required to be set (for instance : "http://www.mywebsite.com") when the option "Search Engine Friendly URLs" is activated in "Global Configuration/SEO Settings".

I reset manualy this variable and then the website was running correctly.

Did I do someting wrong during the restoring process or the latter omit to restore that configuration?

Best regards,

Alex

YOu did something wrong during the restoration. The last step of the restoration ("Site Setup") allows you to set up / modify the live_site parameter. It's the fourth parameter from the top.
