Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? restoring
Joomla! version: (2.5)
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (liquidweb)
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: (3.69)
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: (3.6.0)

Description of my issue:

I restored my backup file to a developement server so i could do some development and testing of my site.

I am able to login to the backend. However, if i type in the development site url for the front end, it redirects me to the live site front end. I don't see any settings where it would cause this redirection. Nothing in the .htaccess.

Can you tell me where to find and change the setting?

Thanks a million.

FYI I followed the instructions on https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/admin-tools/system-configuration.html and made a new .htaccess file on the dev site. I didn't help. It still redirects to the live site.

Have you checked your configuration.php file for a $live_site variable as per the troubleshooter instructions at https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/prbasicts.html?
