Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Watched Video
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Video
Joomla! version: 3.0.x
PHP version: 5.4.13
MySQL version: not sure
Host: Siteground
Akeeba Backup version which took the backup: latest
Kickstart version used to extract the backup: (unknown)

Description of my issue:
About the only thing I didn't follow in the tutorial when restoring this site from a completely different host and completely different domain is the TMP checkbox in ANGIE.

Ideas on how to fix this site? http://www.keystonebuilt.com

I did find the .HTACCESS was specific to 1and1, so I deleted it and created the new one from the default .txt file.

I'm really close, but not sure if I need to restore again.

Hope you can help!
Thank you Nicholas!
Janis

Ok, I think I lied. I used mySQL and not the mySQLi option when restoring. Will I have to restore again?

Janis, this seems to be unrelated to the restoration and a problem with either the .htaccess or a system plugin on your site. I'd bet my money on .htaccess. Why am I saying that? Well, the link to every media file is like this:

http://www.keystonebuilt.com/www.keystonebuilt.com/www.keystonebuilt.com/templates/versant/XTC/css.php?id=15&file=default

Can you spot the problem? The domain name is duplicated two times in front of the real path to the file.

My advice: trash the .htaccess file; log in to the back-end of the site; go to .htaccess Maker, scroll down and set up the correct domain name and directory (the directory is / a single forward slash); make sure there are no custom rules leftovers; save and generate .htaccess

Renamed .HTACCESS back to htaccess.txt, but still nothing. Can't even login to the backend. I may have to restore this a second time.

I don't see anything odd in the configuration.php file either. Very strange. This is my first J3 site, and it's already been interesting.

Try editing your configuration.php file and replace
public $live_site = '';

with
public $live_site = 'http://www.keystonebuilt.com';

Only thing I see different from one site to another is the configuration.php - the lines of code are not in the same order as they are on the previously built site: joomlawebdesignnc.com

I was also having issues with multiple extensions using JQuery, and they may have been using a variety of versions. Other than that I may just have to restore this again and select mySQLi and check the box for TMP.

jk15060
That did it! You're a lifesaver Nicholas! Removing the entry for 'live_site' did the trick!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Can't login to the backend, but I can probably reset the pwd in mySQL.

Thanks again!

In the backend now, so I'm good to go! Sending virtual beer your way! :-)
