 Hi Nicholas,

sorry to bug you, i need to restore a WP on a very old outdated php version 5.2.6 on a clienthosting; even my own oldest kickstart version 3.8.0 didnt work with php 5.2.6, and i didnt found older versions on your homepage. Maybe can you help me out with some stoneage kickstart which would work on php 5.2.6 ?

I know I replied to your email. I will copy my reply here so other people can see it. Thank you for making the ticket public :)

I'm afraid Kickstart is the least of your problems. We never published a version of Akeeba Backup for WordPress that's compatible with a PHP version lower than 5.3.3. Even if you were able to extract the files you wouldn't be able to perform the restoration.

For what it's worth, you can always extract the files locally using either Kickstart or Akeeba eXtract Wizard and upload them to a host. Then you can just access the installation/index.php URL of the site. But, as I explained, the restoration script itself -the thing in the installation folder- will NOT work on PHP 5.2.

thank you very much, all clear now! We make hostingprovider updating php (just got confirmation from customer after several requests). And .. yes sorry, next time i will use ticketsystem first :)
