Hi,

Attempting to restore a backup from has give n me an error message:

The Extraction has failed
Extraction of the backup archive has failed
The last error message was
Invalid login

Attached is the screenshot.

Having backed up and restored hundreds of times on different sites, this is the first time I have seen this error. Please advise how to overcome this.

Many thanks

Richard

Hello,

I suspect Joomla forgot to copy all the files, in the specific the restore.php file. Since we changed the way to authenticate the restore process, you get the invalid login error.
Please install Akeeba Backup twice in a row, without uninstalling it.
Moreover, just to be on the safe side, can you please try your browser in incognito mode? In this way you'll automatically flush any cache regarding javascript files.
That should do the trick.
