Hi Guys

I had my clients site hosted at heart Internet without issue, we had Admin Tools installed so had the 2 factor login.

We just moved the site to new hosting using Akeeba backup, all installed correctly.
used new DB, DB Name, DB user and DB password, but same Database Tables Prefix

BUT the login that did work on old hosting for the First login (AUTHENTICATION REQUIRED) Now does not work, do i need to change anywhere else.

Rather stumped now?

dlb
The AUTHENTICATION REQUIRED message tells me that it is the Password Protect Administrator function that isn't working. That function is sensitive to changes in the web server version when moving from one host to another.

To fix it, just delete the .htaccess and .htpasswd files in the /administrator folder - NOT THE ROOT. You can reestablish the password from the main screen of Admin Tools and it will create the files with the proper format for your server version.
