Hi there,

during a restore of my live site to localhost it was interrupted due to my antivirus programm.

It said it has detected the trojan:Script/Foretype.A!ml in one of the temporary files wich are created by Kickstart.

This was repeadetly the case.

Do you have an idea?

Pleased to hear

Hello,

there's a chance that the site you are trying to restore is actually infected, but that could be a false positive since the restoration script creates a lot of temporary files.
To be 100% sure, you should temporary exclude your site folder from the antivirus and complete the extraction. Then manually perform a scan of your website. If you still have a warning, you should take a look at the file and check if it's actually a suspicious one or just a false positive.

Hello Davide,

thanks for your prompt reply.

I'm now downloading the entire website via FTP to my PC. If there will be an infection, I believe my antivirus program should complain :-)

I'll keep you posted.

Hi Davide,

I think I can close this ticket, as the warning did not appear anymore, neither on direct transfer via SFTP, nor while a restore.

Thanks for your help.

Best Regards
Hartmut
