Hello all,

I´m trying to transfer a website that was backed up using Akeeba Backup Pro from my webspace to the customers webspace
which is located on the same webserver.

In the last step of the restore, I always get the message "You have disabled auto-prepend scripts on your site....". I keep
getting this message even though all plugins are deactivated (except of Akeeba Backup).

I also tried it with the "Site transfer wizard" but no luck at all.

Many thanks in advance
Torsten

This is not an error, it is a reminder because you selected the option to disable auto-prepend scripts (if any) during the restoration. Since your site does not use auto-prepend scripts you can ignore this warning.

This warning basically applies when you have security plugins which make use of auto-prepend scripts. After transferring your site to a new server, directory, subdomain or domain name the restoration script automatically selects the option to disable auto-prepend scripts. If it didn't the restored site wouldn't work because it'd be trying to load a file that does not exist in the expected location. However, that would mean that your site's security plugin would not be fully operational on the restored site. We realise that people may not notice that the disable auto-prepend scripts option was enabled during restoration so we print out a warning on the last page to catch your attention.

I guess we caught your attention a bit too much :)

Hi Nicholas,

many thanks for the update. Yep, you are right regarding catching the attention ;)

But the problem is that I´m not able to execute the last step, if I hit the clean button nothing happens.
I´ve tried it a few times, even with another browser. Sorry if I did not communicate this clearly.

Best regards
Torsten

The last step in restoration is cleaning up. Assuming that this is what you are talking about:
  • Delete the installation folder.
  • Delete the backup archive from your site's root.
  • Delete kickstart.php from your site's root.

Some of these files / folders may not exist if the cleanup process run to a certain point before stopping.

Tried as you suggested but afterwards I get an "500 Internal Server Error".
Enable debug in wp_config.php but no further error are shown.

I think we may be talking about different things. Can you send me a screenshot of what you believe is the "last" page of the restoration script?

Hi Nicholas,
I will try again this evening and also take screenshots of the different screens.

Hi Nicholas,
I "solved" the problem by copying the files over to the new webspace with FileZilla.
Now all is up and running. Thanks again for taking the time.
Happy easter to you and your family :)
